Crisis Management Plans and Processes

CRISIS GOVERNANCE BUILT TO LAST

Robust plans and processes are the backbone of crisis response, but resilient crisis governance is about much more. We work with clients across many sectors to design, adjust and strengthen the network of connections, processes, policies and instructions that must seamlessly come together as risks escalate.

Our approach to planning develops effective systems that are built to last.

Full crisis governance design – For organisations starting with a blank page, we develop crisis definitions, structures, reporting lines, as well as comprehensive plans and ways of working.

Crisis preparedness health checks and deep dives – For those evaluating established approaches, our health checks provide a structured review of effectiveness and highlight points for improvement. We can also deep dive into specific areas and make step-by-step recommendations to enhance existing systems.

Top-level (CMT) or function-specific design (Comms, HR, Cyber) – Where clients want to enhance resilience, we focus on particular components of their plans from crisis leadership to the work of specialist functions such as Communications or People teams.

Crisis control centre design and partner alignment – We work with heavily regulated industries and organisations which are coming together to deliver major events (the Olympics, large-scale political and business conferences) to establish common systems that enable leaders to take control swiftly if threat levels increase.

Turning governance into action – While plans and processes provide the blueprint, ultimately people make the difference to effective crisis response. We turn governance into action through embedding workshops, role training and scenario testing.

We help clients to learn from their experience, improve their plans and processes and develop their people to strengthen their long-term readiness.
