Radd is a UK-based, US-born retired lawyer and crisis and reputation management specialist. He has more than 30 years’ experience of helping organisations to navigate complex legal and business challenges alongside diplomats and corporate leaders on both sides of the Atlantic.
Through his legal work defending clinical negligence claims for failings in obstetric and orthopaedic care, he developed a keen interest in how issues can escalate into major threats, inspiring him to broaden his expertise and become a highly sought after advisor on crisis management and avoidance.
Radd is perhaps uniquely placed as a UK-based advisor, having negotiated successfully with President Trump in person. He led counsel for the family of Harry Dunn, the motorcyclist killed by the wife of a US agent who claimed diplomatic immunity, putting the family’s case against immunity to President Trump directly and ultimately securing a UK prosecution.
As a result, his advice is now in demand among those challenging the State’s response to serious crimes. Today Radd works at the intersection of law, media and politics, helping those involved in complex, high profile crises that often involve government, law enforcement and health care. He has an extensive background advising healthcare providers on how to assess, manage and avoid risk in clinical settings and how best to right wrongs when the worst happens.
A graduate of both Harvard Law and Business Schools and Cambridge’s Judge Business School’s executive leadership programs, Radd has held leadership positions in several global law firms. He is also an experienced media commentator for news channels including CNN, Sky and BBC News.
